In this program children will use art as the main medium to explore the world mathematically, scientifically, linguistically and philosophically. The curriculum is pillared on an appreciation for nature and sustainability. It is an art atelier experience with an access to a garden, where children become one with nature. It perceives the child as a whole being who is encouraged to listen to her/his inner voice. The program uses a combination of child-led educational approaches which include Reggio Emilia, Forest Schooling and nature education, Waldorf and child-led inquiry-based education paradigms centered on process sensory art.
About the Instructor:
Julija Milovanovic is a mindfulness expert and educational therapist with certifications in early childhood education and counseling. She has experience in working with young children in nature schools, encouraging students to think creatively and consciously about their surroundings and teaching them to create art out of nature and reused materials.
Why do we believe in the Child Empowerment Program?
The early-childhood years are the most important part of forming the neurological capacity of grown beings. Many argue that humans are actually entirely shaped by the experiences of their early childhood years, which is why an intense and increasing amount of focus has been placed on this age groups’ education.
Helping our children become conscientious observers who engage with their world thoughtfully is another mission of the program. Children are encouraged to love and care for planet earth as they would for themselves and their families, and are guided towards expressing that love through arts.
The program uses toxic-free, organic supplies, wooden toys, and plastic-free natural materials.
