Manifesto13 has started Creative Collective! We’re creating a cohesive community of artists—and, in the process, collaborating on massive works of art!

CLASS: Child Empowerment Program
INSTRUCTOR: Julija Milovanovic

In this program children will use art as the main medium to explore the world mathematically, scientifically, linguistically and philosophically. The curriculum is pillared on an appreciation for nature and sustainability. It is an art atelier experience with an access to a garden, where children become one with nature. It perceives the child as a whole being who is encouraged to listen to her/his inner voice. The program uses a combination of child-led educational approaches which include Reggio Emilia, Forest Schooling and nature education, Waldorf and child-led inquiry-based education paradigms centered on process sensory art.

Ages: 2-8

CLASS: Pre Foundation

In our pre-foundation course little artists will be introduced to the world of art; including art history, art technique and art movements.
At the age of 4, children are ready to learn concrete information like names of artists and their corresponding time periods. Whilst learning theory and history, the little artists will also learn the basics of engaging with art material. Finally, they will be encouraged to think of the concepts learnt in class critically, to ask questions and to link these concepts with analogies in the present day. This course is great for motor skills development.

CLASS: Art Foundation
In this course students will learn about art-history and art-technique more rigorously. They will dwell deeper into concepts pertaining to art history, and master more complex art techniques and movements; All teachings are age-group appropriate.
The course will cover an artist, a theme and a movement. Students will learn to think critically about what they learn. They will also learn techniques related to the art-topic being taught. They will implement these techniques to create art-works using their own voices and perspectives. Finally, they will be encouraged to link their art-works with current social issues.
Students must take Pre Foundation as a pre requisite to Art Foundation.

CLASS: Art Masters

After gaining a solid foundation in art-history and art-technique, students are ready to dive deeper into specific art periods and concepts. Each year, the topic for this course changes.
In Art Masters, students will look at the personal life of artists, the technique they used, their style, and the influence they left both during their lifetimes and on art history in general. Students will learn technical terminology for critiquing art and replicate the techniques they learn. At the end of the course, students will be guided to deconstruct the replication of the techniques and to imagine new ways of representing the new concepts explored in the course.
Students must take Art Foundation as a pre requisite to Art Masters.

CLASS: Green Design

Green Design is a creative, design-centric course that focuses on issues relating to sustainability. Through the process of design and creation, the course enhances students’ critical thinking and problem solving skills. The course material takes from the best of Design and Technology Curricula from Canada, the UK and the USA, combined with environmental science and e-commerce.
After completing the course, students will get a chance to join an exclusive summer program in an international organization abroad.
Both in our approach to developing student’s problem solving skills and our emphasis on sustainability, this course is truly one-of-a-kind in Kuwait.

CLASS: Independent Study

independent study is a program in which the student researches a topic and formulates answers to questions with guidance from the instructor. At the end of the program, they develop and present a product. The product can vary depending on the topic chosen; it can be a huge painting, a book, several pieces of art or any other product required for the topic chosen. The student will go through all stages of completing an art project; starting from research, planning, execution and finishing. The program is thus a very special opportunity to learn specialized material, gain research experience, enhance skills and create a beautiful work of art.

CLASS: Art Activism Program
Art Activism is a program dedicated to engaging with underprivileged students. It will provide free art education for schools with students of low income groups. The program also includes art therapy for youth struggling with behavioral maladjustment. It has two courses; Mural Art and a Special Topic program.

Class: The Fundamentals of Visual Art For Adults
This is a comprehensive year-long course that covers the fundamentals of Drawing, Painting, and Digital Art. Taught by our highly-trained professional artist Omar F. Abdullah, you will start with the very basics (light, shadow and perspective), and eventually develop your own unique style!
Ages: 18+
Month: Sept-Dec + Feb-March

Make art for two full hours!

Walk-ins allow you to zone-out from the world and have two hours of alone time. You have the freedom to paint, draw or create whatever you like using our art supplies with assistance from our art advisors, if you required any.
